'In my youth I have know one' Except you, by my side They could 'never dissever my soul' from 'my darling My darling, my wife, and my bride.' You are the light that guides me to shore As cliche as it may be, But it's true I love you with all of my heart You are my 'Annabel Lee' To wake in the mornings and face the day Used to be a chore But with you, it's easy to forget yesterday, Forget the days of Yore You've given me reason to hold on to life And 'grab it by the horns' There's no more point to hang my head low My side no longer has thorns! My troubles are fading, shrinking, and gone Oh thank you for saving my life You are so caring with love and compassion To take away my strife
