Guardian Words

I was there the day you heard the news. Helplessly watching, nothing I could do. I wanted to tell you everything will be okay. But no words could make the pain go away. So I sat there holding you in my arms. Keeping you safe and away from harm. I know it wasn't supposed to end this way. But God had bigger plans for me than to stay. The morning that God had decided my fate, I helped save hundreds from terror and hate. I know it will be hard to except I'm gone, But I'll always be with you from dusk til dawn.

I'm not really a writer but I try. Mostly when I write, the words come out in music to me if that makes any sense. Lately, writing poems has been like therapy for me. But like I said, I'm not really a writer, but I try.
