Guilt
My poem is basically about suspicion. The feeling of guilt when you're a little paranoid because everyone around you is being viewed with suspicion, and you wonder when they'll get to you. Guilt It was guilt and nothing else, could it be noticed? He stands secluded and tries to avoid the gazes. They try to read the set jaws of the others They question, they observe conclusions covert. Could it be Evan, is a whispered suspicion his taciturnity and gloom providing base. The time is fast arriving when luck will part and truth will surrender and stop the hiding. Fixated in the shadow trembling lips and glistening palms he simply watches. He is but alone, Fear and Guilt stand by Diminishing the presence of confidence and self-assurance. There he stands afraid of a glance that would attract the spotlight and give up the game. It is he, but they are unaware instead they search the people who cannot give them answers. He is the one he is the culprit no one can know but he. there he stands despising chance and dreading possibilities of realization. Shadow was what prevented one from seeing the answer etched on his face, for there he stood bearing guilt's emblem. Guilt in his hands, guilt in his eyes, Yes, there I stood. Filled with guilt.
