Guilty Dreams

09 Aug 2012

·Leny

Guilt-gilded dreams only last until dawn Drowned in the dregs of our bitter-sweet drinks Thrown off our chests by the force of a yawn Flushed down the drainpipes of showers and sinks Every night everyday rules decompose Hearts only long for what eyes cannot see Next to our loved ones, while consciences doze Guilt-gilded dreams roam elusively free
