Hard Rain
There's a hard rain a-comin', Just on the horizon, Don't look with your eyes, it's... Outside of our minds grip, A storm of heroic preportion, It's got to be someones hero, for certain, From somewhere between consortiums, And the man behind the curtain, We've been deceived, Made beleive, But behind the scene, It's with disaster we're flirting, Yeah, been comin' for some time, Don't tell me you don't feel it in Reno and Alabama, I known it in New England and Eastern Canada, (It's likley out in Uzbekistan, ha) That calm before the storm, The air is vaguely electric, Leaves are turning down, Don't call it unexpected, When we are forced repentance, Repirations and apprehensions, All the unanswered questions, Just... swept away, For our fathers fathers, Lived for then, And could not bother, While others only for them, Could not bare the thought, But really... Could we have either? And now we must answer, To their future, The present is pretty tense, Where does the prison end, And the church and the mall begin? Yeah, I guess I like the smell on the air, When there's a hard rain a-comin'.
