Harvesting The Heart

·Boffin

Along-side your waving body Next to cascading shelves of mysterious novels And beside a lonely glass of water Lay my heart stored in a jam jar As it beats next to the rhythm of yours Speaking to the wind as it howls by Fractured in a state of transparency Locked in a form of relentless love There you hold my heart where I lay far away Stepping on thestepping stones of my eyelids Driven towards a secret ending with you I speak not for us but for a future with us in it As the twirling tales of stories whisper into our secrets Loving you has made bravery the only blood in my veins Tormented by the thought of losing our thoughts Cascading tears fall against well deserved cheeks As love feeds passion and passion feeding kindness So our bodies clash into forrests of secrecy Our thoughts aline through the black valleys Forgetting the dark miseries that fall off shaking carts Shedding the old, withered skin that collapses under the sun Scratching pitch-forks into the earth to store souls like seeds Dreaming of better days to overshadow the gleaming stars Forcing the tides of our lungs to skip to the waves Then opening the jar to release this feeling.
