Haunted
She tries to hide the pain That tears through her Like a veld fire once begun And eats up every part of her Consuming her completely Until she becomes the pain And embraces it Because it's all she has come to know And as it rips up her soul She smiles Because the pain feels good And destruction is inevitable Like death She wonders if her blood Flows black in her veins For she is the darkness And like a black cloth She can smother the light And find night in the day Like the moon She is always there Ready to take over from the sun Haunting the stars And filling the night with beauty For she is eerily beautiful As she turns to go Her smile is left behind Haunting this place Forever
