He left you behind.

·shocks

You, you thing in the corner. You vile and limpid vapor crouched and coiled and sullen, slightly darker than the black with your back against the wall. With your tail under my bed, it's bristles making patterns in the dust. With your hollow mouth always open. You, I want you gone. Away in fields where shadows play, or drowned in a soft river, full of secrets. Just remove yourself shapeless thing, no love for either of us here. I touch your hand - like touching deep water where your whole self recoils from sudden cold. I think that in your hand are silver creatures fitful, alien and beautiful, waiting to snatch me from the surface. You, with your face that's not a face and cannot feel- he took his car but left you here. He's as monstrous now as any shadow, but his fate will be kinder. Oh shallow image of my lover who forgets to breath- I will take your flaccid arm, ignoring all decency and we'll go everywhere together.
