He's Won
He went to bed angry, she stayed up to dwell. He knows it'll be fine, she knows all's not well. He sleeps peacefully, she let's her head race. He faces the wall, she just stares into space Now the rolodex of mistakes he's made is flipping in her mind. The way she feels right now ammo's what she means to find. All these things gone- not forgotten, just evening out the stakes. Making a mental list of pro's and con's, just to see if it takes. He's still deep in slumber, she's pacing the floor. He has no idea shes reaching the point of no more. He'll just lay there soundly, she'll take it as a sign. He'll wake up tomorrow, she'll act like it's all fine. Now she's doubting her anger, was it really worth the fight? Guilts getting to her, now she's convincing herself he's right. Yes, when he wakes up and has completely put it behind, I'm going to let it go and just put it at the back of my mind. He's waking up now, she greets him with a smile. He hasn't said a word, she offers breakfast in awhile. He goes about his day, she doesn't realize he's won... He knows he has, she will always stay for their son.
