He sent me an Angel

With mothers day coming up, I thought i'd post a rhymie rhyme I wrote to my mother eons ago. And to all mothers reading this 'Blessed Mothers Day', no matter where you are from. Dads will have to wait a tad though. =========================================================== dear mom.... Sometimes I wake up with a sigh of relief I heard them talk about Him, but she made me believe I doubted Him so, cause they taught me to fear The essence of love that is so sincere In time I let go to find my own way I wanted to hear Him, not what they all say He whispered in my ear that He sent me a guide Who comes more than one, to stand by my side The beauty of this He said …listen close Before you can spot them, you will be one of those With support from my teachers, fellows and peers I learnt a great deal, to listen without ears To see all the beauty life has to show Without my own eyes I knew, now I know He sent me an angel, or was it I who was sent To experience a love that will never end The simple things that made my heart grow The way she poured love in everything that I know She makes coffee taste so good; it’s almost a sin What makes it so different is the love you put in She dishes a feast with some odds and some ends Her food’s so well known, even to colleagues and friends She wakes me up like a fresh morning breeze She hands me a tissue before I can sneeze She doesn’t know yet, where exactly she came from When my soul asked for an angel God sent me my mom Ilse
