Heart's bellows

05 Jan 2010

·Leny

If my heart's in my boots, where are my feet? Going in circles, making ends meet, no eyes to lead them and nowhere to go, frostbitten toes in the ankle-deep snow. If my heart's in my mouth, where is my tongue? Trying to voice all the songs I have sung, no lips to guide it and no breath to blow... Just a heart's bellows coaxing dead embers to glow.

Poetry and Hums aren't things which you get, they're things which get you. And all you can do is go where they can find you. -- Winnie the Pooh
