Heaven and Hell
What is Heaven to those who only know Hell? To remember the days on the swings, long before life in a jail cell. To remember being held by thier mother, or to stand at their father's side. To remember peace of mind, at a time before pride. And then they remember the first time they took a life To remember how happyness left thier eyes To remember the cold, black stare, and how we can't turn back time. To remember innocence lost and ego won, and how we no longer love everyone. So now that everything is wrong, I clear my mind. I replace time with feeling and emotion, With love and devotion, and the sound of the ocean. You can take yours, and i will take mine, And we can learn to sing and how to rhyme.
