Here In My Head

Attempting to catch you in your clever game of hide and seek has been no easy feat Running through my head, you’re quicker than I thought But really, how hard am I actually trying? Sifting through the letters in my soup for clues Being led around by a lazy spoon with no prior experience With no end to your romping in sight, I’m wondering if you’re the slightest bit tired yet My dear, you’ve been at this for weeks now Swinging, sliding and “merry-go-rounding” Your boots are tracking sand all over my cerebral playground, Driving my Tonka Truck straight into distraction with your rhododendron laced riddles My concentration quickly becoming a stale trait while enchantment and her hold make your dirt seem so clean to me somehow she knows- how easy you are, how easy it is, how easy you make me in you, that look of you, that slow, easy going way your words find my swing set how they flip the switch that sets the menagerie of extravagant colored horses running There you go again, prancing around here in my head
