Hesitation's Legacy
as I studied the lines on his face each one erased, told a story of a younger man's dreams, when anything was possible when his world was a simpler place, it seemed and life held open her arms beckoning, promising adventures heart changing directions if only, he'd chosen and engaged without fear or reservation, and pressed forward with faith and now sitting there, on the sidelines of living of being, as the world spun by I wondered, how many regrets etched now in his once handsome face screamed this story to all who would listen, of losing one's place...
