Hiding Behind a Mask
I've been searching for answers I already know, wasting my breath on truth nobody will believe. Maybe I do like to believe I'm the same I'm just like everybody else fighting back fears, My tears I wasted on false beliefs I thought was love My screams I've drowned somewhere beneath my burned out lungs. Oh, I'm tangled in thorns my body I'd convinced myself was made of stone I'm sinking in the sea an anchor my body is stuck under water, There's a loneliness sinking in nobody to hear me, nobody to see me I'm behind a mask my bare arms and legs covered in cloth an anchor in the ground.
