Highveld Storm

·Mistral

Blazing streaks of lightning slashing open ashen sky, rolling drums of thunder echoing in the heavens high. Collective clouds in hues of grey swelling up to bursting point, gathering their wholesome fluid; it's the Earth they will anoint. Rain, newly formed; first drops fall, tumbling down with heavy sound, slowly churning dusty roads and hungry earth to muddy ground, creating puddles big and small in the hollows of every street. Soon there will be joyous fun; paradise for little feet.
