A Villanelle His hand laid life If life now is, it then must be… A miracle of great design, incapable, of you or me. How could it be that we can see; and hear this world so fair and fine? If life now is, it then must be… Creation was a gift from” He”, Who made the many worlds align; Incapable, of you or me. “He”, whose hand laid life and breath in me? Who gave us food and drink to dine? If life now is, it then must be… That ‘He” created all from seed and sea and from the healthy tree and vine. Incapable, of you or me. That total timeless gift from “He” This beauty of God’s gifts divine If life now is; it then must be… Incapable, of you or me. IlaMae Stucki © revised 4/26/10 .

I am a Registered Nurse.. I have loved writing for as far back as I can remember. My first writing was experienced by drawing as a child. In 7th grade I wrote a poem about Abraham Lincoln that won an award and was read on the radio in Salt Lake City....
