HOMEWARD
Having dwelled, all his life, In a fools paradise, Having been defeated by fate At thousands of challenges, He settled for the only option He felt left, saying to himself: I will go back home; Where the village villains Live in the best hovels, Where the village villains Marry the most beautiful virgins. I will go back home; Where the village villains Own the fattest cattle, Where the village villains Account for all vices. I will go back home; Where, despite all, There are green fields Where, notwithstanding, The air is less polluted. I will go now, in pieces, To live again in peace.
