Hope I go before you
I have this terrible fear, loosing someone I value I sometimes hope I go before you do. Unfortunately we do not have any control, over who goes first when the dice rolls If you have ever experienced that destruction between yourself and another individual You treasure the meaning of appreciation to each other we are so meaningful I have lost more than one friend, distressed am I The first question in my mind always being “why?” Although I know the answer, there is no remedy For my aching heart yearning to feel ease All day long my mind filled with two thoughts the first time we met the last time we talked Generosity his nature, courtesy his style More laughs to be experienced, had he been around for a while Sorrowful his connections weeping his end in remorse Curtains closing down on his life, he deserves the applause for touching so many lives, took a piece of our hearts Filled it with good memories of his past Look up to the sky, look down on the land It’s filled with spirits reaching out for your hand Millions of beating hearts trying to connect Those who have lost theirs ask only respect I’m set on goodness, are you in the same state? Don’t forget your purpose before it’s too late I tell you my friend you mean so much to me. I could pick up the phone and remind you every day I appreciate you; don’t wait another minute to say How you feel, don’t miss the occasion Blocking true feelings leads to frustration I want you to know, I am here for you I hope I go before you do
