Hope in Death

·sorrow

Why? It echo’s through my mind, I know that I must find, A way to leave this hell behind, Now! Escape my own down fall, My fingers clutch the wall, Afraid to loose this all to darkness, Try! But I could never hide, The dark side of my mind, I must leave those ways behind, Flesh! It screams to be at rest, Through fire it’s the test, That brings me home to you, I’ve fallen so hard, Bloody and torn apart, Searching, I’m seeking, a way to survive, Broken and beaten, before I arrived, Feeding and breathing, to rescue my soul, Broken and beaten, before I was born, Every time I close my eyes, I see your face, And I can only pray to die like you, Peace, purpose, grace Turn out the light, I close the door, Death stalks me, Nevermore.
