How Could I Have Known
how could I have known and yet, I always thought somehow you'd be there beyond the blue changing of the trees when autumn comes around and shakes the colors, down. as it always does this time of year in some city by some towns how could I have known without those words spoken, careful words of meaning far beyond that door we never walked into, windows always opened. and now the wind is my only friend as I sit alone and ponder, while these questions want to scream how could I have known never stopping to ask or inquire and though our world's seem far apart, I can't forget...
