How Long

how long will we sit here languishing under the pretense of some form of thoughtful and meaningful conversation between like minded fools on our hands we trip as our ego's have fallen so long ago they are flatter than mad, we continue with unspoken plans heads in the sand, but who's counting her purse fell up and through the ether as a polar bear opened his eyes for the first time we shudder to think what might have been each time salmons decide to swim downstream, navigating icy buffoons and we prance around the obvious spilling out verbs without substance remember the last time when someone was well able and would be there for you, in spite of it mattered not the size or strength of an enemy's tongue where have they all run to? lost in the shadows of yesterday's promise while those of us, who think we remember, hum. I wanted to love him wanted that more than anything now, all I can do is scream...
