Human Animal

Nightfall approaches, and with it the roaches but I am not so disgusted by creatures that creep and crawl, up and down this cold cell wall as I am by the actions of man, roaches can't harm me like humans can. Flies are a nuisance, mice are a pest, but add the worst of mankind to the list, and of the 3 flies and mice are the best. The actions of some humans deliberatly wanting cruelty is worse than the filthiest rat, because even the lowliest animals know better than that! This is a very old poem, from about 25 years ago. I remember it from memory and just wanted to share to show how my style, rhyming, etc. has changed!
