Hunger

I’m hungry for the cooked turkey which is eaten by every single sprig of the family tree. I feel hungry, hungry for the vision of the warmth yet fresh blossoming member of this family. I´m hungry for the smile, that jumps out automatically whenever a face of the same blood occurs. Oh my beloved grandfather who died the very next day of my 8th birthday. Why did you take every drop of your love with you? No more love nor respect for you left within your children, my family. I’m hungry for you, grandfather. For you to bring me hope, for you to bring me peace, for you to bring me joy. I’m hungry for you to bring me my family back.
