One of my more light hearted poems...... Raising a husky sometimes is a chore One things for certain it's never a bore Vocalizations - demanding attention If dogs are your thing you really should get one. Loyal and loving -that is their nature Stand at attention - a most regal stature Blowing their coat - a lick to the face Walking is good if you don't mind a fast pace. They can be quite stubborn and look very mean But follow you everywhere when you're trying to clean Always watching to know where you are Trust me on this - you won't get very far. They love to play but can get kind of rough If you're not up to the task - well that is just tough Establish the alpha - take a firm stand It's always important to keep them in hand. People are wary and some are just scared Yes, they are big but they're love must be shared So open you heart and let one come in Not liking these doge really should be a sin. One word of caution before you decide Read up on the breed so behaviors can't hide If you work with them often - I can say this with ease your dog will love you - his whole aim to please. So even though I might bitch and whine The problems not him - the fault is all mine. I should take a step back and maybe think twice Then suck it up and follow my own advice.
