when the journey of light sees it's destiny and darkness falls upon land i stand praising the existence of man when darkness reveals infamous mentalities i express my natural born fire my soul so deep it teases the core I am Africa! the one that gave birth to your being for you to see and be the fathers and mothers of the soil and children of the light that illuminated with might to give wisdom sight I am Africa! the one who speaks the language of amharic and so beautiful like the eye of Kenya so powerful like silver backs of the Congo gather my children and bless them with hope I am Africa! feel the thunder of my emotions as i express the nature of my liberation forever flowing in my poetry like the rivers of Nile, i am Africa i am afro in every single hair i am afrocentric in every king i bless i am aphrodisiac in every emotion i express I am Africa! Africa i am and will be every step i take stamping the ground like bongo's in the rain feel my rhythm for it gives activity to sense it is the motion that makes an action the thought that makes it an idea the force that keeps your feet upon the ground they stand i am, and forever Africa my nature i reveal
