I AM FREE

Guys, this is a follow-up on the poem "A deal with the devil". For those of you who had an idea what was going on with me the last few weeks, this should provide some explanation. I’ve been dreading this day forever, but I always knew it would come… the day when I had to swallow my pride, and face all the demons inside. I gathered all the strength I could master, and I left friends and family behind… for today I will deal with this devil, to my sins, I can no-more be blind. As I march to my fate, the thought crosses my mind … what if I don’t make it out alive? But this deal has been done, and with courage by my side, I realized that the time has now come. His eyes are shooting flames, and they’re scorching my very soul… for the price I will pay, for what I have done, is this monster’s only true goal. For days he reminds me of what it was like, before I walked out on him back then… and my body remembers the blood and the hurt, and my mind is a haze from the poison. My heart stays alive, never mind all the pain, and I’m starting to make a few plans… I will play along now, as long as it takes, for soon it will be my turn! On day 9 I awake, as a new human kind, I’ve lost the person I once was… for today is the day, when I’ll stand up and fight, and TODAY I will win this war! My body is weak, its ripped apart and bruised… and the lines in my skin are dark and sore, from 9 days worth of blood! I use his own poison to seduce him, I feed him as much as he wants… one last time, is all that it takes, to spread the poison into his blood. Now lying beside him, his body all numb, his eyes just gaze up at me… and I finally see that his soul just let’s go, and my mind starts to scream, I AM FREE !!
