I Am in Time No More. A Shakespearean sonnet
I am in time no more. So floating ‘neath The crystal skin upon a frozen pond I can believe that I sense not the thief That swallows wondering years I’d grow too fond. In numbing ache I can judge true that ice This thick can lead me through. As colour drains Away my pallid features blue, the vice Tells not the ocean hue from currents veins: I am in time no more. I shall soon sink Into the yawning mouth so slowly broad. The jealous lips will lick and hap’ly drink Away the echoed light, the call ignored. I listen, hear it not. Time’s only whore, He makes no sound and I in time no more.
