I am still...

·Missy

I'm still that little girl Standing all alone I'm still that child crying When mommy isn't home I'm still that innocent face Reaching for a hand Trying to rebel against Wishing someone would understand I'm still that almost teenager Barely on her way I am still the same My pain hasn't gone away I look into the mirror Stare into my eyes full of pain I haven't changed since then I am still the same I'm still that little girl begging Longing to belong That half woman, half child So confused, finding the world so full of wrong I am still cowering Scared to look away I am still thirteen Though I'm a few years older today
