I call on you
I call on you, whilst you slumber soft and sound As you laze heedful – musing – contemplating hope, wishing for the day I cease to be a dream and enter your reality, become valid in time Distant connection, not conscious of the other Only the certainty that we exist somewhere And though we might not meet, we accept the agreement made before we came, the love that was and always will be could not be shared in this life I remember you, the way you glanced at me A faint smile, expressing a language unspoken, You remember me, how I embraced you, firmly gripped you with delicate intention In my fantasy, I hear you call on me
