I'd Rather You Sleep
I would leave you your beautiful forever In your glass box In your tall tower In youreternal moment of need Than give you back To time's brutal heckling Why would I kiss you Erase the marked blessing Of your strange, sweet dreams I have not right nor want To pull you, struggling Into the light I won't force you into a hopeful hello Or shatter your silence It breeds ugliness Kills youreternal moment of needing me Hello is the word before goodbye.
