I Hear...
I Hear I hear Stormy weather whipping through the leaves on the trees, their branches creaking and cracking against the onslaught I hear The wind howling around the walls of my home and whistling in the eaves I hear Torrential rain battering my windows and rattling them in their frames I hear Vehicle engines driving past, their tyre'd wheels splashing and squealing through increasingly swelling puddles I hear A dog frantically barking, presumably seeking shelter from this deluge he's been left to bear I hear Sharp, loud voices, carried by running wet footfalls passing by I hear Gulls screeching and screaming as they battle their way through the pouring rain and blustering gale I hear My boiler ignite, heating the water that courses through my radiators, warming my home keeping me snug and cosy and out of the stormy weather Phibes 07.09.2011
