I was once an alter boy A time where I enjoyed my faith I enjoyed lighting the candles And every night I prayed I once was an alter boy A time when tragedy struck I turned to god for help, praying But he never replaced my bad luck I once was an alter boy But I am an alter boy no more When I needed him the most I prayed, but God chose to ignore
