I Remember Her
Dark blues skies fill the air on a quiet moonlit night And I remember her like it was yesterday when we Last spoke. I hear the leaves rustle in the wind And I remember her soft voice whispering her smile Into my heart. In the background of an autumn breeze Her scent lingers, forging a magic my mind cannot see Yet my heart can understand. I close my eyes and I can Re-live memories of laughter and sweet smiles, Of a closeness once shared. I think of her, and I imagine Tomorrow complete. I feel my heart yearn for a sense of Belonging. Beyond her I can only feel an emptiness, Without her I do not see destiny. In my dreams I savour Heaven’s attempt at perfection in her touch. In her eyes I see my life’s reflection, and I remember how it feels To find eternity in one moment, and to cherish it Like nothing else matters. My heart follows her calling Even if only to experience its warmth. I imagine her charm, and I remember her innocence. Wanting so much to believe that the angels have written For our paths to unite, I remember her. And when I remember her, I miss her, and my heart Beats as if only now exists.
