Here I stand Broken-hearted At a loss of words Since this whole thing started With just a glance And half of a smile You reduced me down To the strength of a child Some days later Same thing still This battle slowly draining The source of my will With every look Of those night-like eyes I take onstep closer To the arms of demise I let my heart lead Till it came time for words When love was in mind No sounds could be heard Couldn't murmor "I love you" Couldn't utter "Be mine" Couldn't whisper "Forever" Couldn't stop me from crying My soul sang out As I slipped from an angel My eyes brimming fire At the tears, oh so painful So now I write and here I stand Broken-hearted Alone once again
