I wait
I wait in the green and yellow pasture where we first made love one Sunday morning as church bells rang in the valley below sacriligious ~ perhaps yet I saw all of God's creations that day a bit more clearly I wait in the garden where the seed took root and the heavens took note of these lovers in the midst of such darkness such tragic darkness they had found each other I wait knowing that I wait in vain knowing that the strength of the unknown is greater than even this love I wait because it is all that I can do
