I walk A Step
I walk a step And I am getting closer to death Moving away from my birth Propagating towards age, and, Age itself ages With that step I take It moves unrecognized towards old And me, bold, I walk a step And realize that I might be Getting closer to the birth One of the coming death Yet I recognize it's beauty In that the death of I Brings about a new rising nation Which after me will walk Towards changing change Recreating what we call change Putting it in it's place The right And I with cleansed might I walk a step But I feel the exhaustion Of the ability of this creation To hold on to the position It has been placed upon by time As time gave the opportunity For the existence of time To give me time To take a step And realize that as I walk a step I am just walking Taking split-second small steps Walking home to rest my soul To plan the time All of this for my aging The aging of my time given and giving The aging of my life Yet the aging of my death For as I think of my death It grows old in my thoughts But still it never comes It becomes the elder of my being And reincarnates, with out death, what I'm seeing, For more carefully I look To see if it would happen that as I walk a step Death itself will come But, contrary, death walks away As I come close, wonder do I Am I walking a step to get to it Or am I just walking, Yes walking, Walking home to rest As I walk a step It is just another one While I am walking.
