I wanna fly
I remember as a child rolling down a grassy hill tumbling to the bottom I'd lay there very still looking up into the blue I'd soar into a cloud and even with a childhood voice my dreams were very loud I wanna fly far away from here to a land where unicorns are near fly to where the rainbow ends play forever with all my friends I wanna fly, I wanna fly Well time moved on as it always does and the work day whistle calls from pushing pencils to laying bricks you could say I've done it all but after my work day was done I'd gaze into the night and once again my childhood dream would take my heart to flight I wanna fly far away from here to a place where the air is fresh and clear leave my troubles and my woes to a place where the free wind blows I wanna fly, I wanna fly Many years have come and gone I'm feeble and so tired my time on earth is almost done my heart will soon expire how I long to rest my eyes I know my end is near but I still have that one last wish that I've held so very dear I'm gonna fly far away from here to a place where the angels are near going to soar into the sun to a place to stay forever young I'm gonna fly, I'm gonna fly
