I Would Like
as in Eden, to love you originally I'd say your name as first, in a way you've never heard before, and correctly I'd cheer you up and witness the first smile hatched from tears and look within your eyes as a child born, wriggling helplessly in reflection I'd hold your hand clumsily for tentative are first steps that we grow into I'd hold you tightly as I realize that Death will steal you away and place one small step upon your cheek, where no man could have yet dreamt to stand I'd kiss you upon lips so that actions may speak louder than words, before it becomes cliche you would be mine completely without a complaint were I not yours
