Identity
A face, a soul, character and substance, Personality, beliefs, morals and values, All these I possess, so do you, I guess, But who am I really and do you care? Will you recall my name? An hour after we met or ten years later? Will my face bring a smile, Or cross yours with confusion? Deeds and words, are they all we are? All these questions, so bemusing, And the one so dominant is why, Is there any meaning to this life? We live we learn, we play and burn, We cry we deal, we envy we steal, We hurt we mend, we break and bend, But in the end does it matter at all? Maybe not but if there is no big picture, Beware how you live regardless, For at any moment, even for a few seconds, You could create heaven or hell…
