If I Was You
If I was to grasp what was near and dear I would be empty handed. There are snowcaps of faith on mountains of fear. Refuse to understand it. If I was you, and you were me My life would be a lie. Yet if it should happen, or ever be, No one would pass me by. I would be known as the great success, And not the failure I am. I would flee from all of this stress By becoming the greatest sham. If you were me, and I was you, I would be able to see That I would not be completely true, For I would not be me.
