If the chorus ruled the lyrics

If the chorus rules the lyrics, then why do I still try, If choice is my freedom, why have I chosen to die? If the band wrote the music, flowing harmony in sight learning the tricks of their trade, erasing conflict from inside. If the program wrote the code, could we be alright, all of us living in peace, or would we all just fight? But forced thought is impossible, nothing comes to mind, just the droning of emotion, in the cold meter of time. Parting with god, the feeling is one of a kind, being all alone, and floating with the tide. Feeling things that I thought I knew, making me sad, making me blue. Especially the things that are actually true. All you need is here, just behind those cold eyes, you can take it as right, or you can make it a lie, but take it all with you, don't forget to try, and above all else, don't forget to get high.
