If you weren't in my life
If you weren't in my life, My future wouldn't be so bright, I wouldn't care to see the sun, Because if you weren't in my life, The light would be all gone. The nightmares that woke me, Weren't nothing but a scare, Back when I was a kid. And if you weren't in my life, Those nightmares would still live. I remember you, Tucking me, back in to sleep, Sitting on the side of my bed, As we are saying our prayers, And bowing our heads. You may have thought Our prayers would never get answered, But you know sometimes they do, Because he has blessed me, With a lady like you. And after all of these years, I still pray every night, Because, if you weren't in my life, I wouldn't be, the man, I am.
