Immortal Love

First rain drop falling on me first dew drop I see So fresh so pure From the heavens above for sure On the green grass I walk Barefooted I walk Morning Song of the birds falling in my ears Gone is weariness of the years Having seen the sun come and shone Journey back to my home For there is my love waiting For there is all the love waiting Alas!the clouds began to thunder I could feel the ground shaking under Perhaps the sound of doom was loud and clear My end was coming very near Could feel myself fading away Into the darkness, death leading the way The news of my fate was soon delivered Her eyes didnt move her lips never quivered turned into a stone Surrounded but all alone She looked up as if watching me "Why?" her eyes asking me No longer her laughter echoed in the house No longer the flowers blossomed in around Bless the speed with which time rides Don't know what Gods decide What happiness does sadness hides In her, a life was breathing inside She acknowledged God's grace Brought the smile back to her face Disheartened was I not to be there Nurture our love with care Happy was I to see her in joy At peace was I to see our love grow by For long I have been dead It was now I could rest
