In Flight
In flight my craft and I my diamond in the sky manipulating air once again to overcome the force of gravity in this space between heaven and earth this vastness of free which captures me Below me the patches of green and brown by day the city lights at night where I sit from my cockpit window I see no imperfections on the ground below there are no signs of homelessness or poverty there are no traces of crime hatred or injustice no wrongdoing at all are within my view If I could I would desire to be sustained in this troposphere forever far away and above from the earthly troubles below for only when I descend and touch the ground do the distresses that plague the earth become evident As I make my descent having been given this perspective from above my hope is to make a difference for by having walked the land I am astonished by the sky and having risen amongst the clouds I have gained respect for the earth
