In Harmony

There might have been a magnet in the music that she played. Both horse and dog stretched forth to hear her lilting serenade. Her eyes were closed. She sensed them near. She knew they longed so much to hear. They nuzzled closely to the girl as she let the melody unfurl. She hypnotized them both that day with her flute as she did play. As they gathered by the fence, what was it they did sense ? Nature's call to all who long, to feel the power of a song? A lovely scene that was to see a picture of sweet harmony. A horse, a dog, on a day in June, entranced by one girl's soothing tune.
