In Momentum (on my wedding day)
In momentum, a plane moves onward as does a life, In a moment, comes forth the look to light it… Some things emerge to shout above the storm, It’s destiny, It’s just ‘meant to be’! And ever silent, inert and discreet, Love took a heart at Ten Thousand feet, The moment was marked; The fire sparked; The seed dispersed, Who could ever see ahead to where it would land, And as the close, magnetic ties, Made souls meld slowly together, if not the eyes, A dream was dreamt, A vision seen, A realisation of what should have been. Years go by, the seed still airborne, but lower, much lower now, The end is set, though we can’t see how it will unpack, But rain, sweet rain invades our life, We put on our hats, we raise the umbrella, But rain, sweet rain, Sometimes we need its cleansing kiss, And our comment changes to ‘seize the day’ instead of ‘what did I do to de-serve this’? In momentum, a plane moves onward as does a life, The seed has landed for me, the most wonderful wife…
