In my dreams

In my dream, I stand on the edge Of on coastal strip Waves roaring With a violent scream. They climb the sky Towering above me, But I stand unmoved, Unthreatened. Fear is a distant Echo in the clouds. Instead I marvel At the brilliant blue Of the water, And the ocean calms. It gently engulfs me In a loving embrace, Stroking me With its coolness. It reveals to me The beauty of the life Within in it, Secret treasures Still to be found, And stories of sailors Never yet told. I wake up, And I am refreshed. In my dream, I stand on the edge Of the glowing moon, Looking out At eternity of nothingness, In search of the beginning Of my being. Stars and planets Hover in harmony Mapping the answers I seek. They sketch the story Of what came before, And give me a foretaste Of what lies ahead. My feet slide In the dust of the moon, And I slip from the edge Falling through nothing, Descending to nowhere. In that moment I am all that is And that ever was. I am love and joy. I am the light in the moon, The darkness of night, I am the universe. I am my soul. I wake up, And I am whole.
