In Praise of Sunrise
The beautiful one has returned, With another pearl, Off-white, shades of difference From the versions we already know, But still we clap And praise, Hoping that she Would cast a glance At the quartz we try To pass off as diamonds. A few rebels Dare to question The chosen one, By claiming also That their pieces of granite Are equal in beauty To her reputation. They are banished And crucified, For we need no free thinkers.
