IN THE ABSENCE OF AVA
In The Absence Of Ava While I used to help you up the stairs, now days you can go anywhere. While I used to rock you and pat your back, now days you have your blankie for that. While I used to feed you with your spoon, now days you're offering me some too. While I used to push your baby stroller, Now you hold my finger andtake me there. While I used to read you books by the score, now you open them up and make up a story. While I used to lift you up to your swing, now you climb right up and get right in. As I’d watch the clock for your mom to come home, I’d be tired as hell from chasing you around, but it’s in your absence as time ticks away, that I know I’ll never get back those days. And I used to help you with everything, Nowyou'regrowing so fast that I feel like crying. ~ WorldPlaya ~ Dedicated to Ava Dimiceli my2 yearold Grandaughter onMay 22, 2012
